the only problem i have with your description is that this is not Gary Jules' classic. it's a song by Tears for Fear. gary jules is actually pretty much only known of because of his cover of the song...

@uhgsoisd2 Yea.. This song has a quality similar to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. You gotta give respect to the original artist, but everyone can do variations that have their own merit. I prefer the slow versions, but even Tears for Fears had a hit in their techno pop era. You're right though, the cello gives it a good "haunting aire" sound.
