Zoo Leipzig -- MONORAL/Monkey Cage

Just some shots I made at my last visit in the zoo in Leipzig...fur seals, African penguins and Amur Tigers...so watch and enjoy...!

I hear you. I'm not a religious person, but I sure there's a special place in heaven for the animals and the people who love them!

I can't say anything about 'my' community, I just can talk about me... but indeed I care a lot about what's going on around. However, sometimes I just like to stop thinking...because thinking makes live difficult... Animals should live in freedom, but with mankind destroying their habitat, maybe a zoo is a better place to live than outside in freedom. (in some way it sounds stupid, but sadly in some way it seems to be true)

I totally understand what you mean...of course a zoo can't give the seals a place wide as the ocean...however the space they have there seem a lot smaller on the vid as it is...or how big toilets do you have in Canada? ^^' Leipzig is really a zoo which recently does a lot for their animals...construct really huge places for their animals...and as species-appropriate as possible...it will never really be like in freedom...however I don't think their live is that bad...

Does it not strike you as sad that these seals are in a pond the size of your toilet when their natural lives would be lived out in the entire ocean? I see how lovely they are, but my heart breaks for their loss of open space and community.
