Johnny Mathis~ An Unforgettable Man~ Happy Birthday Johnny! & When I Fall in Love~Nat Cole Tribute

What else can one say about Johnny Mathis? An incredibly gifted soul who touches hearts in an instant. To an "Unforgettable" man - who I'll take license by saying - that we all wish the best on this special birthday and for many years ahead . His commitment in caring for his 'God given gift' as he's been heard to say- so true- has allowed him to continue to do what clearly means so much to him- and we- the appreciative, adoring fans- are forever thankful. A tribute to you, Johnny, forever just as young, warm and special as the day this event was created. Surely, Nat King Cole is wishing a 'Tribute' right back at you- and so fitting that his twin daughters (see last video comments) are honoring you in November for 50 years of sharing "Unforgettable Music", through the Nat King Cole foundation.

This is the last video in the "birthday series" :), from 1983, UK. These three songs are all special and Cole masterpieces. The first two are duets with Natalie Cole, "Let There Be Love", composed by Lionel Rand and Ian Grant, first recorded by Cole in 1956and "When I Fall in Love", composers Victor Young and Edward Heyman, recorded by Cole in 1956. And last but certainly far from least- Cole's hallmark song, "Unforgettable", composed by Irving Gordon, recorded in 1951, and sung solo by Johnny with his unique, signature 'spine tingling' delivery.

once again. Listening through the album "The music of J.M. a personal album",

this whole day long. Unable to do anything else. I try, but end up sitting down and

just listen to his voice, the lyrics and the grand music. He is hypnotic.

@beweau Berit- I love this clip- people may not realize as i did not put it in the title that he sings "Unforgettable' at the end in his own unforgettable way. The Personal Music CD set is wonderful.
