First of all Ismail Abdelkhalek aka Ish gets all the credit for this video! He shot it and went above and beyond what I expected. So this edit, I hope he likes it, is a tribute and a thank you to you Ish!! In this Part 1, I tried to condense the blocking and shooting of the Steadicam video shot by Bill Elias, who inspired me to shoot the video! Bill and I worked out the blocking and concept and we relied on Ed Holm to come in on the project the day of the shoot and direct it for us. It meant that Ed had to stay behind the scenes to move Katie from place to place unseen, and to wrangle the playback and a bunch of technical issues for playback of the audio for me to lip synch to!!! Abi Wilson was our all around super production assistant and kept it all running smoothly!! Thanks to all of them for their work. Katie, well, we couldn't have done this without her!!! I would never have written the song without her, and as to the recording of Angel, it would not have been done without the collaboration of Andi Morgan! She is the bassist on the song and really worked hard in the studio to do backing vocals, but because she was really too sick to be in the video, I had to recut the vocals without her singing. Thank you Andi from the bottom of my heart!!!! She did get to cut her own version of Angel with me, all her vocals and that is the final song in the movie by Todd Tinkham, Southland of the Heart! My daughter Mia was my driver, transporting Katie to the set and back home. The Cave, Mister Mouse, let us have the whole night to shoot and Taz Halloween and Michelle Ceremuga helped us with playback and Stu Cole helped with setting up playback speakers. Tasha Cole and Ian, Wendy and Brian and many others were there to be our on camera audience. Thanks to all of you!!!
