Here's another absolutely gorgeous song this time sung by John Denver from the Forever John CD. It was written by Renee Armand and Marty Gwinn in 1980 according to the liner notes.

The images are all of various rivers from thumbnails on the internet to go in accordance with the title of the song. They also repeat or go through a cycle a few times.

  • Beautifully done! Rivers have always been a great fascination to me. Perfect song to display all of these beautiful rivers. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks so much for your sentiments! Rivers are just one of the things that nature has to offer, and is perfectly associated with JD.

  • Wow!!! I thought I had all of his songs. Where or how do I find this? Thanks for this post. "Far Out!"

  • Beautiful pictures: rivers running to the sea or ocean. Rivers are so full of symbolism. They represent so many things...Their running is like our lives (also running to ...) or so say some poets. Thanks for sharing.

  • YOU ARE MISSED MY FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jdenverfan1 i believe its on the forever john album.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

  • my brother is in love with this song ..

  • Such a good line " running away will just change the view"... lovely posting!!

  • I was thinking of giving my son the middle name "River" but I wasn't sure...now I AM.

I will have a son named RIver.

  • wow!!! John's best songs were being put together just before he died...Yellowstone, Comming Home, Wandering Soul, Healing Time, and very few people know of them, even his biggest fans....how ironic. His greatest longing of getting back on the top of the charts was just within his reach

  • That is a great album. It's sad that several of his best recordings were not released while he was alive.

  • Thanks again for another beautiful song. Your pictures are great and as full of symbolism as the song. Thanks for sharing.
