I saw Australia for the first time yesterday and had also only seen the caption of this youtube-film. I hadn´t read so much about the story in Australia. I just sat waiting for him to ket killed in one or another terrible way and was certain he had been shot when trying to rescue Nullah. I was therefore very relieved when neither of them had been hit... It would have so so tragic and I´m glad Luhrman chose the "happy ending".... It really is a fantastic film.

really? Oh God I would've bawled my eyes out if Drover died. I cry a little only thinking about it to be quite honest. Yeah...embarrassing. hehe I was also terrified the boy would be killed in that scene. Either one would have been terribly terribly awfully horribly sad. I never knew I could love a movie so much. Australia is just perfect ♥
