That was great! Randy. Wish I kind of had the hams in my past but I'm the first. Maybe my kids at some point will get involved.

Enjoyed the nostalgia. As a kid, having your own space in the house to explore your hobby was important. Imagine having a tower & quad at that age!

Hi Randy,
Another great video and yu brought back a flood of memories of my own Amateur Radio past from 1970 as a 14 year old teen. Now at 54 still loving the hobby.
Wonder if you are married and what Mr's AGE thinks of your hobby. My wife Donna has been a great sport.

Mrs AGE allows me to pretty much as I want. I am lucky. She wishes I would do some more chores around the house!

Hi Randy,
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Looks like you and your father had some nice amateur equipment . Didnt you ever get the urge to call a CQ with that Johnson Invader on the novice bands when you had ur novice license?? Hi Hi.Take care,

Nope, I have my Heath and an Ameco. Wished I had kept the Ameco, those are worth a lot of money these days.

In the first picture you show, it looks
like an NC300 with converters they were
using for the VHF contest...

That sounds about right! My dad built the 100 W AM transmitter.
