  • This mini home is cool...I like the green concept and reducing energy use...

  • According to the manufacturers website: $139,999 (CDN). I'd consider one if it was $39,999, but for $140K, you could buy a decent sized house outside of the city.

Also, you still need to purchase land to set this house down onto. So your total cost may actually be more than a 1600 sq' home is!

  • @BillyJoe1305 No I think the house trailers are great and will most likely buy one in the next couple years it was the cost of living in Toronto I was upset with.

    Cheers Christine

  • @christinepeace Yes, but house trailers are often actually quite nice, & they grow better almost yearly. They just get a bad rap. Many of them have the same space saving ideas in their design. It seems like it would be much cheaper to buy one of those & have it retrofitted for self sufficient use. However, some cities have legislation that doesn't allow them, because of the negativity associated with them. So this may be an option in those places.

  • what the hell is that woman wearing?

  • @InvisiMan2006 you save in the long run with energy cost. A modest house in toronto will run you 420k so take the cost of the new home with land will probably cost 150k less.

  • @InvisiMan2006

You can buy a shipping contianer for about $1500-$2000 & do all the work yourself,

Just buy some how to books at your local hardware store.

If you shop wise you may only spend about $5000-$6000 when finished.

  • How can a single man like me get to live like this?

  • i love that bathroom

  • @InvisiMan2006

You have to remember that greener materials are more expensive however and the power consumption in this house is considerably less, and will add up overtime.

  • I love this.

  • Cant stop saying it, I LOVE IT.
