  • I have used this paint on a number of vehicles. Bottom line is, use the prep materials then coat it with a high quality satin rattle can paint. The rust proof paint flakes off if the surface is not perfect (blisters) and it is a pain to re-coat since this paint is very difficult to use compared to a simple rattle can fix.

Stay away from these rust proof paints.

  • @detroitbluesguy When you say "blast it" do you mean pressure wash and degreasing?

  • @351cleavland make sure you blast it first or you are just wasting your time

  • Only sand blasting can properly prep a frame for painting..it's what we did in the Navy to coat ship hulls..anything else does not hold up..

  • Thanks for making this. I am getting ready to to this very thing on my '96 f150. How does it look after a few years of use?
