@dnlcod3dnl in a nutshell A carbine is a small sized automatic weapon that has a shorter barrel. Carbines are mostly used by Western militaries because they are easy to manoeuvr in small and narrow areas and they are lighter than normal full legnth assault rifles.

They perform similarly to their larger full length counterparts but because of the shorter barrel, you'd expect a lower velocity round. Some carbines are SMG's but in terms of performance, they do not perform as well as carbine rifles.

watch M4 Torture Test on vigilantspectre's channel & you'll change your mind about the "it jams every time" idea. Larry Vickers also has a torture test video on an M4. People who have actually worked with an AR system and make comments on youtube are easily identifiable by others who have owned one or have been issued one. Main reason I'd want to use an AK is budget. AKs should be inexpensive & ammo inexpensive as well. If you like to shoot that's extremely important.

but also i would take the klashnikov. the old m16 was sexy looking but ot just dodnt have the bugs worked out like the m4 does today and even now it has some deseign flaws

just saying, the communists didnt beat the united states because they were better they beat us because our goal wasnt to "win" it was to just kill a bunch of enemys and send the numbers back home. the war was unwinable for either sides. we never used maximum firepower when even in the 60s-70s was our greatest militaty strength in history. and they didnt beat us. nato beat the vc. we tied with the nva. get ur shit right stop saying we "got our asses kicked"
