Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. has pledged to donate $1 for each new Ruger firearm sold between the 2011 and 2012 NRA Annual Meetings, with the goal of giving $1,000,000. Ruger's donation will benefit the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA). Established in 1975, NRA-ILA is committed to preserving the right of all law-abiding individuals to purchase, possess, and use firearms for legitimate purposes as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Stop making guns with internal locks. Don't pretend to support a right and then not show you are behind that same right 100% Mr. Ruger was a genius in the industry but he said (1989) that we don't need high cap magazines folding stocks and waiting periods were ok. Well, if Ruger wants to continue that foolhardy legacy I will continue my boycott and keep encouraging others to do the same. I'll donate my own dollar. I don't support companies who don't support my rights.

Raise the production of the SR1911 so I can actually buy it off the shelf of a local gun dealer rather than pay 25% above msrp from gun auction sites and I will make my Ruger purchase this year.
