Ryusei Daiko from Okinawa performed at the 25th Okinawan Festival at the Kapiolani Park (Waikiki, Hawaii) on September 2, 2007. I was so impressed by this group and their energetic performance. Their shisa (Okinawan lion dog) performance was one of the best I've seen.

  • Does anybody know the name of the song in the first 10 seconds of this clip? I know that it was the first song performed by Ryusei Daiko at the Okinawan festival. Probably the best Okinawan festival that I've been to in years.

  • Sorry, I don't know the name of the song. It is very upbeat, though! :) Let us know if you find out.

thank you very much for ùpload it.

  • Both the eisa and shisa dances were brilliant. I do have to say that the shisa costume reminds me of Barkley from Sesame Street, though.

  • The song in the firts seconds in fact is the end of the song "Kamigami no uta" bu Himekami and There many videos of this song in Youtube specially vecause This song is danced by Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko and its branchs around the world.
