Drug intake: Mumbai youths on a 'high'

Rocking the night away with party drugs has become routine among regular college students and young working professionals in Mumbai. Like the police busted a group of 230 young men and women while raiding a pub in Juhu in October. Counsellors say over 30 per cent of Mumbai's youngsters today have consumed narcotics in some form. It's a steep rise from 5 per cent a decade ago.

I have noticed a sudden increase in Black people from Nigeria hanging around Select citywalk mall. I believe many of these people are here to sell drugs as they are clubbing every night. Nigeria is notorious in dealing in drugs and they see the boom in indian economy an change in lifestyle of indian youths.It's a good market for them. The police do nothing to check them even black women are into prostitution and hope they dont spread HIV to young indians. Africa is high on HIV/Aids.

The state of India's economy is very sad. We complain here "we are the 99%" and the widening gap between rich and poor but that is nothing compared to India. I can't believe all those people in the slums aren't marching down to those billion dollar houses in Mumbai and burning them down. Not sure if it's cultural? But people would be rioting in the streets if that was here. Insight from any Indians who previously commented would be appreciated.
