This is a great film. When I am down on my luck I would do the same as the heroic voilinist by going to a political prep rally to create grass roots activism.

These shorts show how Griffith was preparing to address the themes of his major features. And it's also evident that he understood ho complicated all those issues were. Here we have an idealistic secret militant organization, much like the KKK, but being part of it is problematic. .
