An article in the New Scientist Magazine speaks about a group of scientist who performed research and found that every person is born with a knowledge of a God within them and that it is the teachings of opposite doctrines and education that override and remove this knowledge.

  • There IS evidence AGAINST the god of the Bible, YHVH.

Just as there can not be a one-dimentional swan

or a solid gas, or a fossilized flame,

there can NOT be a god of love

    who devises evil against humanity.

    Yet YHVH does so regularly.

I do not insist that there are NO gods,

but the evidence is very clear

that the god of Abraham, at least,

is a myth with no basis in fact.

  • Suppose this is true, and that we are biologically programmed to accept a grand designer. What about this lends any weight to the archetype of the Christian God?

The article says that we are predisposed to witness design and purpose everywhere. Leaving aside that this equips us to interpret and therefore manage the circumstances of our survival in the external world, what about this indicates that a malevolent, vengeful, angry lunatic is presiding over the entire universe?

Fucking eh, couldn't have said it better.

This trash video says; stop thinking too much, and just believe in the magic man, who lives in the sky.

Science tells us we are the sum total of our brains. Change your thinking, and your "magic" Gods disappear.

Never being real in the first place.

We are all born Atheists, we learn this supersitious garbage.

If a child is taught that magic isn't real, even "Jesus magic" the child will grow up to be an intelligent healthy adult.

  • This such a gross misinterpretation of the article. We learn to distinguish between mind and matter by experience: there are phenomenon which appear part of us, and those which appear separate from us. Of course this is an illusion built upon the necessary discernments we evolved to make as a matter of survival.

To say that a predisposed susceptibility to incredible explanations of complex events is somehow indicative of "innate wiring" for belief in something unverifiable is a HUGE leap.

  • I believe this to be true because when I was five I talked with God and He gave me a vision. They said I was too young to be baptized; adult's minds are too ridged and cannot accept such things as a small child knowing her own mind to make a commitment, but I did. So, this video makes perfect sense.
