  • How do you like that AFG on the Troy Extreme? Do you have to use the longest rail section to attach it? Does it fit good?

  • @fatboyR6

I used to be big into the QD stubby vert foregrips however since I do have an extended support hand type of grip I tried out the AFG on another rifle and I have since adopted the AFG. My 1-5 M4 drill shows the first AFG that I ran on my Sun Devil rifle. I used the 4" rail section to attach the AFG and I dremeled the end of the AFG as it covered the QD hole on the 4" rail. Works great and fits great.

  • @ssdsurf how much are you holding up on that 400 yard target with your EOtech, and whats it zeroed at?

  • @tippymaster14

The rifle is zero'd at 50 yards. I am using 55gr ammo on a 16" 1:7 barrel so the hold is right around 20" high @ 400 yards.

  • @ssdsurf

    Sounds good.

I was thinking of buying one to throw on the AR, but wasnt sure if it would be sufficient for shooting distances out to 350-400. Do you like yours so far?

I do practical shooting competitons with my AR that run distances anywhere from 50-450 yards, and was looking for an optic that would fulfill that need but wouldnt break the bank.

    Do you like yours?

  • @tippymaster14

The EoTech is a great non-magnified red dot optic, one of the best. For shooting beyond 200 yards regularly with precision you want to start looking at magnified optics. From contact distance out to 450 yards you should be looking at a 1-4 variable or some type of magnifier or fixed magnification and a red dot type of set up.

  • @ssdsurf thats what I have considered, either a 1-4 or a TA01 acog.

I have pretty much modeled my entire rifle after yours(except for the optic of course), and I love it!

very practical setup. It has worked well in the competitons I have entered it in since the upgrades.

  • awesome rifle, congratulations!! the build up videos where grate! thanks for taking the time and sharing!
