this recording sounds like the remastered 1970's version, with short tape echo & reverb added - the original was more dry sounding and clean - maybe the poster added the audio... ?

John Lennon said "Before Elvis there was nothing". Yes I'm sure that they were influenced by Elvis. They even wore clothes like Elvis did, leather pants and boots etc. When they were young boys in Liverpool they really look up to Elvis.

Yeah I'm not sure either. I was reading a biography of The Beatles and the person writing said something along the lines of "just swinging his hips and holding a guitar for looks" So I dont know.

Yes, I watched an interview with John, he said 'and Elvis walked on and everyone cheered, and we thought "that's a good job"'.
I think he could, but i'm not too sure...
