    "and save power bills"

    Again disconect your power

Even better join UNICEF or PeaceCorps and visit some of the Countries in Africa that agreed to Kyoto/Copenhagen condemning thier starving dying sick people to permanent 23rd world misery cause they wont dig up their coal or pump oil to turn into fertiler, pesticides.medicine, let alone sell for food/medicine

Visit a Childrens hospital and tell them to be happy cause their suffuring and death caused by Kyoto/Copenhagen will "save the world"

"Encourage others to do the same"

Well.,I sell alternative energy technilogy but cause of my nature I follow the $15,000-$25,000 for Solar in your home with "But if you DYI it be way cheaper..don't give up on going off the grid" (Cpmmercial power is the ultimate scam)

"Doing these things will also contribute to health"

Not if you bike to dukin donuts daily

    "and reduce regular air pollution"

No,improved car, coal plant, and factory emmison filtration technology solves it(&personal power)

"We waste so much energy its not funny"

Speak for yourslelf, I am at 99% recycling/reuse and dont use any more power then I need and been like that all my life

I do have a SUV,but only for essentail traveling(mostly Doctors and store these days) and the synthiline/"fixer" blend I use on her gets me 140 miles a gallon and burns clean at $11 a gallon

    "bicycle more"

Would help people be more fit..if they didn't bike themselves to Mcdonalds,Dunkin donuts, and Starbuck so much

    "use less energy"

Problem isn't energy use, its its source

Call your electric company and have them shut off your power and live by candle,wood/dung fire till you can start putting a solar array power systen together

Once you make your own power, doesnt matter how much of it you use

Nost "greenie" wannabes freak out when they cant find a outlet for Iphone

    "Seriously people can do plenty"

Mostly superfical feel goody stuff is suggested not real solutions like.oh,co2 scrubbders(Anti-coal protestors llike Hansen trhrough a ffit, they still deny a coal plant stack only emmits water vapor and Nitrogen nowadays with all the filtration technology on it)

    "Stop driving oversize cars"

As appose to the Smart car?

Good luck if a 18 wheeler slams into you

Besides its not the size, its the power source as the electric and hybrid SUVs show

"So lets sit on our hands then."

    No

Desalination for water supply, hydroponic farming for food supply, floating cities or underwater cities for population, even better filtration for combustion tecjnology or improvment in "coking" technikogy which makes coal burn clean while we try to develop other ways to turn a turbine if not finally rediscover Telsa's Earth EM "Tower" wireless power..considering we rediscovereed Telsa "Towers" radio,tv,cell phone, internet, and skype abilities,Im hopeful

    " and other dodgy sources."

lol. You might want to look in the mirror

Hansens aerusol Hypothises concerning runaway feedback emphesises that once it started it can't be stopped and wouldn't until the positive feedbacks run it's course, interglaciation hits it peaks the naturak forces reverse it leadinfg to glaciation....Yet among that unstoppablr "armegedon" a Energy policy and a crusade to ban coal can suddenly "stop runaway feedback"?

    Really?

Make up your mind, cant have it both ways

So lets sit on our hands then.

Seriously people can do plenty. Stop driving oversize cars, walk more, bicycle more, use less energy. We waste so much energy its not funny. Encourage others to do the same. Doing these things will also contribute to health, and reduce regular air pollution, and save power bills.
