The republicans purposely picked Palin in order to loose the election, because they knew they screwed the economy. The evil elite republicans know how the stupid electorate have short memories and they could blame the democrats on the recession and it is working so far. Being smart is disasterous if not paired with a conscience.

I don't believe McCain picked Palin based on phone call alone. He must have checked out her tits at least once. I wouldn't hire Palin to work at McDonald's based solely on hearing her speak.
