  • That guy is Steve Mason from Golden State Flying Club. He was my biennial flight review instructor. Great guy; he introduced me to the phenomenon known as Cumulo Granite, which can occur if you forget to reset your altimeter coming from a high pressure air mass into a low pressure air mass. In fact, my user ID is the name of my former flight club ,golden state, and the tail number of my favorite rental, Piper Cherokee N303GS. She didn't look like much, but she really handled well.

  • @12345652180 You have a problem then...ALL airports must comunicate in english ..france-spain-ect it's the international language

  • @737747757767777787:

No doubt he's teaching private pilots and only referencing low-performance singles. And, no doubt that when he says "factors affecting fuel consumption," that he's most likely referring to "the negative affects of fuel consumption."

So, putting all that together, he most likely omitted altitude. However, you are absolutely 100% correct that altitude does indeed "affect" fuel consumption. Though, altitude can also have a *positive* affect on fuel consumption as well.

  • @surfbum5412 that's probably because most training airplanes don't have autopilot.. so you have to learn to do it manually

  • @737747757767777787 Also, I may be new to this, but why did he mention pilot skill regarding navigating a course during cross-courntry? Isn't that what autopilot is for?

  • Good evening. please help.

where can i find aviation terminology (a dialog between cabine and ground) in english? the terminology that is used to perform such procedures as de-iceing, anti-iceing, pushback, abeam, starting engine and refueling and etc.

my father knows this terminology in russian but when he has to communicate with foreign pilots in english through the radio that is when his problem starts.he doesn't speak english at all.

  • what its altitude affects the fuel consumption as one of the 5 main points

  • hi
