@nourbutwatmi The R&RHOF and Museum in Cleveland is just that--a museum. It's the R&RHOF Foundation in New York that decides who gets nominated and inducted. They are not influenced by fans' letters or petitions. The nominating committee (about 35 people) will deny it, but some of them only vote for their personal favorites (or so I've heard).

The reason Johnny isn't in the hall of fame is the same reason that it's located in Cleveland. In the big scheme of things it doesn't really matter. Johnny was without a doubt the greatest white lead who ever sang and whether or not he's in the hall of "shame" isn't going to diminish his incredible talent. I grow up listening to his music and being inspired by his unbelievable voice. We were singing doo-woo before it was cool...thanks again Johnny for your gift to all of us. R.I.P.

This is a great song that never charted. But then again I don't think Johnny Maestrangelo ever recorded anything that wasn't great. RIP sir. BTW why has Johnny never even been nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of fame? His passing has brought this subject to light, but J.M. deserved induction for his influence on music with two seminal groups as well as an individual performer.
