  • All the birth defect footage were from the Dioxin, (TCDD; 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-par­a-dioxin), the defoliant, Agent Orange. Dioxin was found to be so toxic that only the most miniscule amounts, a few hundred parts per trillion, can kill animals and cripple their young. It is so virulent that if 5 ounces are poured into the water supply of New York City, it would be enough to kill the entire population. At the time, scientists labeled it to be the most toxic molecule known to man.
