Two hornpipes on my Hohner Club IIB Accordion just for fun. These I learned from Cullybackey accordionist Billy Boyd, a very fine 2 row player. I don't have a name for the first one but the second one is called The Stack of Wheat.

  • Lovely tempo, great playing 5***** (The second hornpipe we used to call it "The Stack of Barley" ♪♫

  • You're absolutely right! I always get those two mixed up! I've since found out that the name around here for the first tune was and is 'The Gooseberry Bush' :)

  • Have you declubbed your box?

  • The box was declubbed before I got it. Its now a standard B/C layout with the basses laid out like a paolo soprani B/C. When I get time and money I'd like the inside row tuned to a C#, to give me almost a 3 row! Thanks for looking. :)
