I've found a 1.8 inch sata hdd (Toshiba 60 gb). Will this be compatable? Not sure whether I need sata or pata? Also, do hdd's typically come formatted/partitioned etc. and if not are they easy to format? Thanks in advance for your help :)

what kind of connector is that? I have only used/seen the mini IDE and SATA hard drives, but i don't recognise that. Is it somehow proprietary to the EEEPC?

Most 901's dont come with the zif connector. You have to replace the mini pcie sdd in most.

Hey,
Long time watcher first time poster. I'm wondering if the HDD in this video came with the cable (grey IDE like thing), as i am currently in the market for one, and on ebay it only shows them as only the hard drive.

@MarkusNemesis typically you need to buy the cables separately.. search for ide zif cables..

@jkkmobile Thank you sir for the quick reply. I'll take this moment to say that i respect you and your work whole heartedly, i look forward to seeing more of it, especially in the Netbook field, if only Asus made as many models yearly like they did in 2008. Any reviews planned for the HTC Desire?
