Asus Eee is by far the gratest mini laptop/netbook ever created, every single aspect of it is user upgradable. Alot better than HP's poor attempt and Advents lame excuses for netbooks. PB are pretty good, but the speakers are prone to popping and the mainboard just giving up.
you should see the video tutorial about the Acer aspire one. which i've got... >_> all the comments are "this is too much, i rather not upgrade" With the acer, you pretty much have to take everything apart before getting to the ram and HDD. ITS NOT AT ALL USER UPGRADE FRIENDLY!!!
Two questions:- 1. Can you replace the wifi module with the 3G one just like the 3g on the dell mini 9: the easy way??? 2. Can we use 70mm PCI-e SSD with a Mini Zif SSD at the same time to get 192 GB of Storage???
I installed the OS on the 8GB drive but there was no way I could boot from it! I did all the BIOS configurations and I even disabled the built in 4GB drive but then it wouldn't boot at all. Any tricks?
If I were to upgrade the SSD, would the module be the same size as the OEM (8 or 16GB) unit? Meaning it would sit in that little space and screw in without need for spacers or tape? Is it even worth changing an OEM 16GB module to an aftermarket one of the same size?
