  • todays its guns and bombs and tanks this is of no good in war but keeping tradition is good

  • i heard him say battou jutsu

  • A dying art, fantastic to see people still practicing it :)

  • I just thought that you might want to reevaluate your understanding of the word.

An overhead cut is just as much a technique as a horizontal cut, an underhand cut, a throw, or a disarm etc..

Simply because a technique can be countered doesn't mean that it should not or can not be used in combat.

I simply find your expectations of what is obviously, a very basic tutorial, totally unrealistic. But it was self indulgent for me to instigate this argument in the first place. BAH!

  • @TheFrostedLlama Thank you for defining the word, now do you have anything that contribute for discussion?

  • @akira357 Technique: A practical method, skill, or art applied to a particular task.

  • I really don't see the point of Japanese sword-technique. Like their Nihonmo technique, its basically like a over-head slash.....how is that a technique? don't you have to take any of the other stuff into account...like THE POSSIBLE chance of your opponent COUNTERING IT?!?!?!?!

  • sumimasen. watashi wa (boku wa/ore wa....wat eberu xD) watashi wa .... nihonjin denwa arimasen.

    dakara boku wa wakarimasen ne......

...........eeehhh!!?????!!!!??? xD LOL i would enjoy watching your master, if only I understand what he says~

(I can't even speak Japanese in good grammar)

  • @sasukeuchiwa12 a true maRTIAL artist use hands to fight hands, words to fight words, blade to fight blade...and gun to fight gun; no TRUE martial art really negate the use of guns

  • @sanctihakita You are correct brother, speed is strength of the body and mind and in combat you react without thought, but i question the length of a blade, naginata, spear staff is everything?cuz even you know you have to get in close to defeat a longer weapon.I use two swords my samurai sword is over 3 feet in length,my wakizashi is under 2 feet,my longer weapon is for blocking or slashing,it's my wakizashi the weapon you have to look out for,but neither you or i are wrong everything is a weapon.
