I did this about a month ago, but try as I might, I couldn't come up with a harmony that I was happy with. Well, this will have to do for now.
I'm adding my version to the hundreds already out there.
Wayfaring Stranger
I am a poor wayfaring stranger
While journeying through this world of woe;
Where there's no sickness, toil or danger
In that bright land to which I go.
I'm going there to see my father,
I'm going there no more to roam;
I'm only going over Jordan,
I'm only going over home.
I know dark clouds will gather 'round me,
I know my way is rough and steep;
But beautiful fields lie just before me,
Where God's redeeming vigils keep.
I'm going there to see my mother,
I'm going there no more to roam;
I'm only going over Jordan,
I'm only going over home.
I want to wear that crown of glory,
When I get home to that good land;
I want to shout salvation's story,
In concert with the blood-washed band,
I'm going there to see my Saviour,
I'm going there no more to roam;
I'm only going over Jordan,
I'm only going over home.

I first heard this song at an Odetta concert as a child. I enjoyed your version. You remained true to the spirit of the song. Many singers don't have a clue as to the mood and message of a song. Thank you.
