As an ex-military member, CS gas isn't too bad. The grenade is worse than the chamber and tablet, but the after-effects are awesome. Breathed clear and crisp for the next few days. Would volunteer to do it again.

My brother worked as a police officer for many years, but recently left to work in private security.
He often talked worriedly about enforced ‘bonding rituals’ within the Police Service- holding “convocations for a whole new spiritual realm” inside the stations, where his team all used to gather, chant, cut open their veins and mix blood, urine & semen in a seemingly earnest “striving towards a new religion”.
He became totally unable to sleep at night, haunted by evil visions.
