  • i have 4 months left so can i still renew it answer asap plz.

  • @gerson14able Yes. And here's a page on our website that should prove helpful: dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/renew.html

  • In addition to (or instead of) being harried by work, kids & aging parents, some people might not think to look at their DLs every now & then. I live in Idaho, which offers 2 options: a 4-year or 8-year license. In my experience, a DL good for 8 years is too easily taken for granted; when it's out of sight, it's out of mind. I renewed mine recently & chose 4 years this time. One tip people could use: set up Yahoo Calendar to remind you annually, shortly before your birthday, to check DL status.

  • @CCRoxtar Thanks for the feedback and suggestion!

  • thanks for the great info. i just went to the web site and try to renew my license, but it says i have to renew at the office.

it says" activity not allow to renew online" what is this mean?? is it only certain people can renew online? or just because it is my first DL renewal?

  • Hey there,

Most individuals can renew online every other renewal cycle. There are a few exceptions that do require an individual to renew in a driver licensing office. Without knowing more details about you, it is not possible to say for sure why you were not able to renew online, but you did mention it is your first renewal. This would indeed be the cause if you are less than 24 years old. At this time we have a general requirement that individuals have to be at least 24 to renew online.

  • @WALicensing Hi, I am also under 24 and about to renew for the 1st time so I'm sure I'm gonna have to go to the DMV but I was wondering if you could quickly explain something: I live in Puerto Rico and I had heard about online renewals so I checked the DMV website here and it says, I can renew my license online as long as my current license is a digital one. What's a digital driver's license? and if I had been able to renew online and get a digital one, would I still get a card in the mail?
