Barack Obama has DEFEATED republican candidate John Mccain with a final vote of: 52 - 48

Now it is TIME FOR CHANGE.

On a night for Democrats to savor, they not only elected Obama the nation's 44th president but padded their majorities in the House and Senate, and come January will control both the White House and Congress for the first time since 1994.

Obama's election capped a meteoric rise — from mere state senator to president-elect in four years.

In his first speech as victor, Obama catalogued the challenges ahead. "The greatest of a lifetime," he said, "two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century.""

This is awesome! The vicious cycle has been broken and the most prominent "Good Ole Boys Club" has been infiltrated! I never thought it would happen in MY lifetime, much less my parents'. I'm so glad that the good people of this country saw past all the lies and mudslinging. Americans want to see a Black president because they want to show that this country has broken the racial barriers, at least thats what I think. But I do think they should refer to him as Half Black Half White not just Black.

@OBAMAisHalfCaste The only thing I didn't copy from yahoo was the main title. That says "Obama wins presidency!!!!!!" I copied the description from Yahoo. So Yahoo is the one saying he's black. I already knew he was White & Black, I was a senior when this way going on & we talked about it in American Gov. all the time.
