Recorded live in concert at CAY in Aoyama, Tokyo, on April 14, 2010. Here I'm playing the Marron Glacé Guitar (diddley bow), but using it simply as a percussion instrument. The drone is created with my trusty JUNO 60 analog synth. Another live concert version of the tune (different drone, key, instrument, tempo...) can be heard here at YouTube:

The song also appears on the new release ("Paradise Square") from the Kropotkins, a New York-based band I am a very occasional part-time member of.
BRINGABYE
see the south bound train
on the north bound track
see the smoke blow east
coming out the stack
bringabye bringabye...
give a rattle to a baby
give a rattle to a snake
take a shot of this whiskey
see the both of em shake
bringabye bringabye...
take a dollar bill
lay it on the ground
take an old dry bone
to the lost and found bringabye bringabye...
not a pocket fulla jingles
nor a pocket fulla notes
just a pocket with a hole in
and that's all she wrote
you can look me over
you can look me up
you can toss a quarter
in the blind man's cup
you can go thru the window
you can go thru the door
but even falling off a log
ain't so easy anymore
bringabye bringabye...
