I will greatly miss this sondbird...she is one of my all time favorite female artist! She also indirectly helped me with the color barriers I grew up with living in the projects with a mom who did not quite fit....(or so THEY thought!) when Teena finally was shown to the public I felt so good to know that there were other soulful women of caucasion skin (but black everywhere else) TY MS. MARIE for easing some of my turmoil!
