How do you go about starting up a new design for an escapement with lego? You just fiddle with the lego parts or you design it on paper? I understand the underlying principle but i am amazed at how you managed to find just the right lego parts to fit your the contraption. Nice work. I looked at them all and they are very nice.

Usually I start with a particular escapement that has been invented a long time ago (17-19th century) and is used in many clocks and watches (before the quartz revolution), and then I try to imitate it with Lego. W4 is my own 'invention', and W13 is merely built on the same principle. Of course it is a matter of trial and error, but the basis is a thorough understanding of why and how things work, or don't work.

Thanks. I subscribed for your channel. Looking forward to see your next creation.
Btw, do you exhibit these? It would be a fun show.

I exhibited only once, some 20 years ago. I do not know of any shows where I can exhibit.
