Mi 26 designed to carry a light 23 ton BMP support tank
as well as any other hellicorpters. I was used to clean up chernoble power plant after nuclear explosion, and it was used to transport a passanger airplane.
enjoy )

I didn't believe it was possible, but those crazy russians can do it ))

also Mi 34 - for fun.

  • @thebakerman1 it's not that it's big, it's the fact that it can carry 18 tones of unstable water load, during extreme windy conditions and take part in firefighting, the designers took this into account, we have seen Canader and other firefighting aircraft break apart at full load. Also military attack helicopters like Kamov 52 are the best in the world, maximum operational altitude, reliable , and the only one that has ejection seats! Appache doesn't have

  • @thebakerman1 actually, it does, Aircraft design reflects the scientific and educational level of that country from high school to university, Russian engineers have solved some of the most impossible problems in thrust vector control, aerodynamics, and overall design, and many of them work for Western aircraft makers also

  • @killman369547 I've seen video and photos of CH-47 Chinooks sling loading out other Chinooks. I guess the Chinooks were too buys out in the mountains picking up and delivering troops and other supplies to pick up the downed Chinook. I've heard from people who've flown on the Mi-26. They say you can see individual blades swinging by because they are so big and slow. Amazing helicopter. One of these pulled a mamouth out of the ice in the Artic, but the blades were really coning, got it out though!

  • @Vanyaaynav Thanks. I am a helicopter pilot & we have to practice autorotations a lot & in this video it looked like an unexpected autorotation because it was so sudden & unplanned especially because of the flare & bumpy area of touchdown which rocked the helicopter violently. Usually when we practice we pick nice smooth landing areas, often on the runway. Thanks for translating. I thought when they showed the engine they were explaining the engine had failed. It really looked uplanned to me.

  • @OneHoof In this episode about which you speak the pilot the verifier simulates a crash landing. Then units of this helicopter which have no damages are shown and are in working order.

  • Okay so what was the deal with the hard, almost crash landing of the MI-34 between 3:05 and 3:10? It looks like he had an engine failure and it almost crashed... The pilot saved it with a bumpy slider landing. Does anybody know what happened there? Thanks for posting. Nice video.

  • Since when does having the largest heli's make someone great and wonderful? What ever happened to just showing what you've got *without* trying to make yourself look superior to everyone else?

This is what people can do without here. The heli is indeed a great machine - no doubt about it. But it doesn't make the country that made it superior on the planet.

  • Russians got helis DOWN right bar none
