hello! I want to buy the nook simple touch but the thing is that i live in Greece and i only plan to use it as a reading only device without worrying for the download books options or anything else.I plan to buy the books from my computer and then transfer them to the nook. But i read in the comments that you have to have a credit card (and i thing that it must be American).Will i be able to use it without any credit card or if not will it work with a Greek prepaid one since that is all i have?

Is there a downside to always using the screen to turn the pages? I always do that, but wonder if the screen will wear out fast or something.

@thewayweare100 It looks like you can register now without a CC, but you can't download anything from the BN store without a CC-- not even free books. It's kind of a shame that you can't get free books without it.

I love my nook. Just got it. But when you buy it make sure you have a CC to activate your membership... i had that problem. but once you do that, its all good.
