In the 2011 release of the Jackie Kennedy history tapes, made in 1964, she apparently makes a reference to this recording. It made her upset and would not let her children even know about it, let alone listen to it.

I my gosh! I remember this song. I was born in 1960 and my parents must have bought this album when it came out becuase I can rember my brother and I playing it on our record player. Thanks for sharing this..

Yes, I remember this from my childhood as well. My parents were big Kennedy fans. As a child everything seemed so wonderful until that day in Dallas. Thanks for posting this great little song. I haven't heard it since I was 7 or 8.
