Good for you to rescue a pit bullterrier. You are training him with patience and love. That is wonderful. Does your dog live inside the house with you? It gets cold in England and I heard that dogs can get bladder infections and even die from it. Bladder infections are extremely painful. All dogs, particularly short haired dogs need to have it warm at all times. Your dog is very beautiful.

They are incredibly stuborn.. Sasha tends to moan when I command her "Doown".. Then I gently press on her back, to suggest what she's meant to do.
I've already taught her to sit. She's brilliant at that. Lol she'll sit next to u without u even asking.
Incredibly loving dog.. But so stuborn xD

u clearly know english bull terriers mate. ive had mine since he was 8 weeks old, he was soooo easy to house train the only command he didnt imediately adhere to was the stay command owing to the stubborness of the breed. ur right when u say the are the most stubborn breed, certainly in my experience anyway, but also easily my favorite breed.

I like your idea about using Hot Dogs instead of the Dog Treats.

I can not stand it when people stereotype English Bulls! I am 18 and have always had them in the family from being a baby. they are so loyal and gentle. @Ninix23 we have just got a puppy (8 weeks) and for potty training we just take him into the garden (because he has not had all of his injections yet) every hour or so and also after every time he eats and after every sleep, he does make some mistakes in the house but we take him outside straight away and they learn faster than you think.
I'm wanting to get a bull terrier soon, its going to be my first dog ever. Any tips on how to potty train it?

@Ninix23 If youre going for a pup youre going to have to go through cleaning up after it a lot to begin with, thats just part of it, its never the dogs fault.
Its been a long time since I owned such a young pup (9yrs). When I got RB he was 20mnths, the first time he marked our carpet I just put his lead on and marched him round the garden until he peed outside, then gave PLENTY of praise (thats actually all it took with RB so I got lucky) Always thoroughly clean the mark, it deletes his own mark

@cguk2012 So when does it stops pissing everywhere? My puppy just seems to pee every 5 mins. Despite how many times I take it outside.
Shes 4 months old. I just got her two days ago. She came from a place where they pee'd inside. So she's getting used to new rules.
But how long is it gonna take?
I thought depending on how many months old the dog is, gives the amount of hours she can hold her pee.
Please, I need any advise I can get.
((So its normal she pees a lot to begin with?))

@SuperMikaelAngelo It could be she is just nervous of her new surroundings.
Going to a new home is a big change for a dog and some of them will do this at first.
Give her time, she will learn how to do this, they always do!
