This video shows police confronting protestors during the Occupy Wall Street march on the Brooklyn Bridge.

A longer version of this video is available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqWEPwuIYtA

Occupy Wall Street protestors marched from Liberty Plaza to the Brooklyn Bridge on the afternoon of Saturday, October 1, 2011. Blocked by the police from crossing the footpath, a large group of protestors chose the roadbed, which is reserved for cars. I was up on the pedestrian walkway, walking alongside the protest. The arrests seen in this video happened at about 4:35 p.m.

  • Got your hat took.

  • This is wrong this is so wrong.. We are all suppose to be on the same side here. We are all Americans and we are all suppose to be on the same side. This just totally made me cry. I'm crying here. We are all people and we all want the same things in life. The freedom to live and be healthy and to have a family and friends and a way to support our selves just like it has always been. We are suppose to be on the same side I would refuse to work mr. Police officers an join them on the other side.

  • THIS IS THE TIME TO LET THEM KNOW { WHO WE ARE } WHAT WE NEED IS REAL TOUGH MEN TO BRING OUR COUNTRY BACK FROM THOSE FAT WHORES.

WE ALL HAVE TO FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM

  • These assholes need to get a job a stop bitching!!!!!

  • This reminds me of when spongebob goes on strike

  • Lol from

  • Okay while I do understand the fustration and all theprotesters are feeling sitting on and blocking the Brooklyn bridge is not the way to solve problems. Don't make work harder for the already over worked and underpaid police folks!

Oh and one more thing, it's great you are out there but a bit of advice, dress professional! Polo shirts, clean pants, I get that you want to have your own "flair" but there is a time and place for it and a peaceful protest against wallstreet is not it.

  • These people need to go home and take showers.

  • STAY PEACEFUL!!! DO NOT FIGHT PHYSICALLY OR THEY WILL ENSLAVE US!!!

  • I'm starting to enjoy watching the Police arresting these assholes. Keep the demo going!

  • I'm italian, and hearing all these slogans in english language, pronounced by AMERICAN PEOPLE, seems SO strange to me: if you readers come from United States of America, I think you can't understand what I'm talking about. You can't imagine what America looks like for a foreigner. The world is really close to a mass crisis, that's it. However, you americans got all my greetings and respect.

  • @ETM4Real people are waking up and paying attention now. most of these people were kids in the 90s.
