Wolf CMS Run Through

This is my favorite CMS, it is extremely simple to use and allows me to customize nearly anything I want without having to go to the depths like you would in Drupal.

Im Trying to install this on hostgator????? MySQL is giving me a real hard time Did it once then they told me to delete a bunch of stuff so a setup tutorial would be AWESOME!!!

@Keystrokeguru The setup is really easy man!!!!!! HostGator uses CPanel I believe (I dont have that anywhere to show how to use CPanel).. But you have to create a new MySQL database (Call it "CMS" or something), and you have to make sure you have a MySQL User that can have All Access to that Database (Make a new one if you must).. The rest is just putting in your MYSQL Database and User into the install script! You can check the WolfCMS.org forums they can explain better if you are stuck!

I thought to give wolfcms a go but I am a wee bit dissapointed. Installing it could be easier. Then no clean URLs, nevermind, downloaded plugins I thought might be useful.... funky cache needs mod_rewrite enabled conflicting with no Clean URLs, tried to fix but no joy. The LeapFrog plugin just did not function at all. What a pain. Going to check Account next. This cms doesn't have user support at its core so it had better be good. Maybe its nginx. Where is youtubes text cursor gone. I'm peed!

It looks pretty simple for beginners and for advanced PHP developers too.

I like the most the easy way to insert any PHP code anywhere using snippets.

The only problem I have is using of PDO for database and magic_quotes off

Because of this I'm unable to install it on my server.

Hey JREAM - nice overview! Just two quick follow-ups:

1. If you use the "Wolf" layout (rather than "Simple"), you will get a sidebar menu for child pages automatically (e.g., for the "Dog" and "Pig" pages that are underneath "About Us").

2. The Textile filter is fine! :) You just need to leave a blank row between your "h1." and your "p." lines.

Anyway, great job -- enjoyed the tour! :)
