In this video I show you a nice method for how to change the speed of a wobble bass in FL Studio.

Make an automation clip for every speed you plan to use in your song.

I'm using Sytrus in the tutorial, but you can use this with any VST, but remember, the knob values will probably be different for different Plugins. And if you are using a different vst, you may have to go Tools-Last Tweaked-Copy value then paste that into the X Level on the X-Y Controller. And Tools-Last Tweaked-Link To Controller to link it to the X-Y Mod.

And of course if you want to make gradual changes to the wobble bass speed instead of imediate changes like in this video, you will have to use an automation clip... but you can combine this method with automation clips just fine.

  • A nice way to do it, but its too complex, it would much easier to just clone 5 massives ant change them with the rate knob. ;)

  • @TheChetOne To do it the first time it takes a bit of time, but once you've done it and saved as a template... it makes everything really fast and simple. Especially since you can link all of your different basses made with the same plugin to the same x-y controller.

  • good video. noob question though, how do i open up the patterns to show under my tracks like your set ups? all i have is the tracks and no patterns on the bottom, thanks.

  • @ScoutingPolska Options>General Settings>Enable Legacy Pattern Blocks. I'd suggest sticking with the track playlist for the most part though as they keep mentioning that they want to remove the pattern blocks in the future.

  • @Utubesuxmycock I use "cheap ass sytrus" to make over 95% of my synth sounds ranging from leads and pads to effects and basses. In fact, I'm currently working on a complextro song that uses only one instance of Sytrus for all the synth sounds (no resampling, it's all live). If you listen to some of my music you might change your opinion about Sytrus. To answer your question though, this method should work with any vst that uses a knob or slider to change lfo speed. Use the tools>last tweaked

  • when i uploaded the track to an automation clip It goes silent the track will Not play please help
