The Space/Time String Ensemble is a professional quality Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock and Film music provider, serving special events, business functions and private concerts. Our ever-growing repertoire list includes more than 350 titles. Music arrangements - of virtually any genre of music and instrumentation - are also available by request.
We play solo music, as well as duos, trios and quartets. Here are the core members:
𝄞Danut Muresan was born on June 12, 1981 in Timisoara, Romania and started playing violin at the age of four. At age ten, he made his solo debut with the "Banatul" Philharmonic. Winner of numerous National and International violin competitions in Romania, Czechoslovakia, Italy and USA, Danut graduated with a Master's Degree in Violin Performance from the studios of Elmar Oliveira, Sergiu Schwartz, Maria Clesiu, Radu Bozgan, Lucretia and Ioan Fernbach. He is now a tenured member of Palm Beach Opera, Southwest Florida Symphony and Florida Lakes Symphony.
𝄞Dana Tolan, born in Bistrita, Romania, she graduated from Vasile Beluska's violin studio in Bowling Green, Ohio and earned a Master's Degree in Violin Performance at Lynn University, Boca Raton, Florida, from the studios of Sergiu Schwartz and Elmar Oliveira. Dana is currently a member of the Southwest Florida Symphony in Fort Myers, Florida and frequently collaborates with the Orlando Philharmonic, Brevard Symphony, 'Nova Era' group at Disney, Naples Opera, Boca Raton Philharmonic and the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra. She is part of the 'Tango Rendezvous' project along with Alejandro Drago, since 2010.
𝄡Felicia Besan started her musical studies at the age of 8. She has studied viola with Elena Baltaga, Ilona Totan, Yakov Voldman, and Diane Weisberg. Felicia has performed extensively both as a soloist and as a member of various chamber groups and orchestras. She has toured France, United Kingdom and Italy with the string orchestra "Lyceum Strings" and the viola ensemble "Altissimo". Felicia has won several national competitions in her native Romania and has performed as a member of the "Remember Enescu" foundation. In the United States, she has performed two concerts as the featured winner of the 2008 Florida Atlantic University Concerto Competition. Felicia is now pursuing a Music Performance degree at Lynn University under the guidance of Ralph Fielding.
𝄢Ilie Curteanu, born into a musical family, started playing cello at age 8. As a very promising young cellist, Ilie won a collection of national and international competitions in Italy - 1 prize Absolute and Special prize, "Romanian Music Olympics" (1997, 1998, 2001), Bacau National Competition, Avachian National Competition. He played solo recitals, concerts and live radio broadcasts, at the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Hall "Mihail Jora" and National Television, Bacau Symphony Orchestra, Galati Symphony Orchestra and more. Ilie earned a Master's Degree in Cello Performance from the studios of Johanne Peron and David Cole at Lynn University and is currently a member of Southwest Florida Symphony and Florida Lakes Symphony.

Hi everyone!

Please check this video out: Dana Tolan, Felicia Besan, Danut Muresan and Ilie Curteanu recorded this recital preview on January 15, 2011 in Boca Raton, at the new Lynn University concert hall Studio.

We kept 12 songs for here, sampled together into a 7 and a half minutes video.
