  • Far as true combat this Master was ranked there with the BEST, I saw Master Tatsuo at many demo, one where he beat a nail into a piece of wood with his fist. It wasn't that light stuff either. To bad some of these folks are not able to make these comments in a class with these masters.

  • Amazing that Master Shimabuku was such a small man but powerful

  • @miguelmstewie Shimabuku is the Master of Isshin-ryu. Isshin-ryu is a blend of different styles. Shorin-ryu and Goju-ryu being two of the major. The Sun Tzu kata is the only original Isshin-ryu kata. So it makes sense if an Isshin-ryu Seiuchin kata is a little different than it's original style. But really...you're going to bad talk a Grandmaster? Notice how the video says DEMONSTRATE...not PERFORM. Yeah there are some minor flaws, no kata is exactly perfect. Fuck off

  • @miguelmstewie whut right dew yu have to say that the only 10 degree blackbet EVER has poor technique dude get outta here with that BS

  • He was on rice wine to "relax him." That is why his form seems somewhat weak.

  • Miguelmstewie u should just shut the fuck up

  • Have you ever trained with any of these Okinawan Masters? If so who. Thanks

  • Oh thanks for the videos, brings back my Okninawan days

  • I prefer the original Seiunchin Kata from Goju-Ryu Karate. The original kata before Shimabuku changed it. Type in "Seiunchin" to see examples of the original Kata. Many of them will show the true dynamics, power and proper techniques; i.e. punches, blocks and low stances. Without low proper stances, one will not strengthen the legs properly for true combat. If you are going to learn this Kata properly you won't learn it from this video.

  • My sensei actually told me once that he was at a seminar and the guy teaching it(I believe his name was Stan Hart) said that he met Tatsuo Shimibuku at a seminar and Shimibuku was used him as an uki and Master Hart was twice Shimibuku's height and hit his arm and Master Hart said it hurt so bad when Shimibuku hit him.
