@bulletformygizmo i see what you mean. I think the film was about 1:40 that was pushing the limit for the amount of story to be told but then you have to consider it was a true story so they couldn't add bits in. I thought james francos's acting was good; the amputation scene was awesome on his part as well as the trippy talk show interview he did with himself. city by the sea is an awesome film too.
