I just love the sound and feel of Joe's, "Eddie Cochran" Gretsch, from "The Gretsch Pages RoundUp 2009" at "The Clair Tappaan Lodge" in Norden, Calif - 9-12-2009!

One P-90 pickup at the neck and One Dynasonic pickup at the Bridge.

Thank You, Joe!

  • Without this guitar Gretsch would not be where it is now. The reason why: Eddie Cochran played this model, modified it, which led to Brian Setzer seeing that picture of Eddie playing a 6120 and the rest is history. So Respect!

  • So unless it's twanging out

Rockabilly licks it's not a Gretsch? If only Freddie Green had known that then he wouldn't have wasted all those years playing a Gretsch Eldorado.

  • Wow,It is comfortable and Fingerling good. yvw

  • get outtta here people, the guitar sounds incredible regardless

  • That's one of those 'touchy' subjects that goes WAY back to '57 when Eddie Cochran put a Gibson pickup in his Gretsch. Only Gretsch pickups have 'That Great Gretsch Sound'. The neck pickup is a P90, which was designed by Gibson. ;)

  • It is not a tone of GRESTCH!
