this song (and quite a few others from this album) is very reminiscent of his heatmiser material. i love it. fuck, was this man brilliant....

he's saying that his music isn't "sadcore" (yes, that is what some people call elliott's music) and he doesn't want a bunch a fangirls and he doesn't want fans just because his music is sad.

Ok....are you joking...Elliott Smith´s best song! Mainly because of the chorus...brilliant song writing!!
P.S. I´m not talking about the lyricks i really dont care...the chorus is geniously composed.
