  • tipp, die me 109 (rote 7) fliegt in (über) geisenfeld bei ingolstadt (bayern) dort habe ich gelebt und ich war immer wieder endzückt von den geilen sound!!!

  • A freigthening maschine ! what a sound !

  • Der DB hat einfach den besten Sound, da kann kein Sternmotor mithalten!! Ich liebe dieses Fluggerät!!

  • @GendPzTrSchmidt Not only fuel shortages and lack of rare materials but also pilots who weren't trained well or enough for the late war 109's. In the hands of a good pilot who knew his plane well he could keep up with the p51's but of course they would shoot down 5 or 6 51's and the next day there would be 50 more. @Burbdood, I think the Spit is overhyped most of the time. It's good but not godly.

  • @burbdood In practical terms you are right. But at the time the P-51 faced the BF-109 Germany's fuel-quality was low just as the quality of the machines as well.

The Bf-109 G10 of 1944 had a motor which only worked for a maximum of 20h due to the circumstances of manufacturing. Germany lacked rare materials which made the plane less durable and Germany's fuel-quality got lower and lower. The turning tide of war and the rising output of the german war-industry against quality weakened the plane

  • Wow, there is no sweeter sound than the DB 605 with supercharger. That Gustav is a beauty. So nice to know there is one airworthy. There was an Emil owned by the Russell Group, but I don't think it is still flying as there are no recent videos. Thank you.

  • @TheBlitz1 That litle whistle eh? :D wizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

  • well, I always laugh big time when I see such comments : Me109 is the best or what so ever... Geez, dont you guys ever think about a little step back ? Lebickmeck, don't you realise you COULD be wrong ? You seems very confident about 60 y.o historical facts... It is not black or white all the time you know... Grey is a fantastic color...

  • The P-51 could only fly to berlin if there were no me109 to stop them. ;-)
