On Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, Stetson faculty explored the historical, religious, psychological, cultural, philosophical, media and political contexts of the trend of prejudice against Islam and Muslims in American society. The event also provided an open forum for Stetson students and DeLand community members to voice their opinions on and experiences with racism. The event was hosted by Dr. Jamil Khader, associate professor of English at Stetson.
