Nanotechnology, sometimes shortened to nanotech, refers to a field of applied science whose theme is the control of matter on an atomic and molecular scale. Generally nanotechnology deals with structures 100 nanometers or smaller, and involves developing materials or devices within that size.

Nanotechnology is an extremely diverse and multidisciplinary field, ranging from novel extensions of conventional device physics, to completely new approaches based upon molecular self-assembly, to developing new materials with dimensions on the nanoscale, or the scale of nothing, even to speculation on whether we can directly control matter on the atomic scale.

There has been much debate on the future implications of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology has the potential to create many new materials and devices with wide-ranging applications, such as in medicine, electronics, and energy production. On the other hand, nanotechnology raises many of the same issues as with any introduction of new technology, including concerns about the toxicity and environmental impact of nanomaterials, and their potential effects on global economics, as well as speculation about various doomsday scenarios. These concerns have lead to a debate among advocacy groups and governments on whether special regulation of nanotechnology is warranted.

  • Why.

Why does such revolutionary technology get so little attention? Why is garbage media such as Jersey Shore and Dancing with the Stars more important than the technology that changes our lives? It slightly depresses me, to be honest.

  • Material Science is going to create wonders. I am in love with Material science.

  • How did I get here from nerf guns ????

  • @Agora2021 All you can do is spread the word of modern science technology. Refuse to buy old technology , save your money untill what you want is there. As a consumer you have the power to help change the markets. You have to contribute to the right companys for sure. Amazon.com for instance released the kindle Fire. Its a perfect example of a company who is based around consumer needs, and makeing technology affordable for the every day consumer. Check out my channel and ignore the bullshit lol.

  • @Agora2021 Shhhh ,we are special.

  • @Agora2021

It all comes down to education. The people who watch jersey shore are not that educated when in comes to technology or science.

If you were to start a philosophical conversation on the possibilities of technology and science most of these people would think of science fiction and believe that it is from a movie.

Technology and science will not wait for these people it will just keep marching.

  • I never thought I would hear the words Medieval and Nanotechnology in the same sentence...

  • you all know what this type of technology? at the beginning, it wont look it but, this will give us god like power to make anything we want. You have the power to put together anything to gather, atom by atom. Just, wow, when you really think of the applications and things you can do with this.

  • Yeah its small but doesn't compete to the length of neutrinos or even PLANCK LENGTHS

  • look at 7:26

  • old news os 1995

  • nice vid
