The video will discuss the R-2R and analyze the circuit using the concept of superposition. A four-bit binary input was given as an example. After viewing the above video on the R-2R digital-to-analog converter (DAC), the analysis showed that this circuit is equivalent to a binary weighted DAC. As mentioned on previous posts, the R-2R DAC is easier to fabricate than the binary-weighted DAC. An R-2R does not require or a wide range of resistor values as the number of binary inputs increase.
