hmm.. i gotta agree. the R32 is and always will be the best golf. cant beat a 6cyl engine putting out that much power without the need for a turbocharger.

i think you should delete this video quickly, because it sounds like a dog which has no balls... yet, still trying to wank.... it sounds ridiculously ugly, in comparison with the r32.

@koryan , Well the newer 4cyl R has 20 more HP and has cut almost a second of the 0-60 time compared to the weaker, heavier R32.

@dividad1.... R u from the US? Here in Scandinavia we can choose between manual and DSG, and also on the previous MKV model. I live in the city and use the R as my daily driver and thanx to the DSG my temperament has cooled down a little in heavy traffic... :-)

@Vandalsounds Ah finally someone who knows a thing or two about cars! Not only is the R32 heavy, its also unbalanced with over 60% of the weight in the front, adding a turbo will increase that number. That leads to understeer or making the nose swing around turns. The R32 only has a better sound than the Golf R. Put it this way, a MKV R32 is ONLY DSG. The R is ONLY 6 speed. Volkswagen finally got some sense knocked into them

Try the GR...i'ts normal that it's not like the R32 6V...but for a 4V...try to find as good as this one....

When Cruising the R32 is the one to have for the sound,I've had mk4/5 R32 and Passat R36,apart from sound the new Golf R is a better allrounder
