Great tips, kudos for you!

Where's the best place to purchase mylar bags??
-
How hot, or what setting, should that iron be to seal the Mylar without melting it? Brilliant work, by the way!

I have a Euro Sealer (10” corded). It seals plastic in seconds, much easier than the iron. Too bad I can’t find it anywhere these days (so others can get one) but you can also use an Impulse Cellophane Bag Sealer. Better quality but very costly ($75+ for a decent one). But if anyone is going to seal a lot of bags or has limited mobility, might be worth the investment, or to reduce cost, buy one and share with neighbors who chip in. Just wish we didn’t have to use any plastic to store food.

I`m looking @ your bucket, guessing light does not shine through,is this true?
Where did you get that grey bucket? Oh and good going with the vac!

Great technique. I wonder how longbrown rice, dehydrating broccoli, dehydrated meat or butter would last.
Not to poo poo. But I wont be saving something so poisonous as bisquick. People really need to research this. Wheat is toxic. If you are using Whole wheat, it's not so bad. But I don't store any wheat product, nor corn. Corn fattens up cows, hogs and people. Along with that is other diseases, making one generally less resilient & a burden. Diabetes comes from these things & sugars

How much do those mylar bags cost?

Because when the sh*t hits the fan, YOU GOTS TO HAVES YOURS BISQUICKS!! hahaha!
